Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals

Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals
By Caitlin Moore

Every so often, the travel bug takes hold and just wont let go. A certain destination seems to call out, a destination with enough activities to satisfy every whim and with enough beauty to make everyday life take a backseat for a few days. Those who have been there would say Lake Tahoe is that place, and those who havent would be wise to see for themselves.

Lake Tahoe has enough scenery, energy, and hospitality to attract visitors of every disposition during all months of the year. Whether it is snow skiing or water skiing that brings you pleasure, this vacationers paradise has enough diversity to keep everyone happy, busy, and at the end of the day, relaxed.

An excellent way to truly take advantage of all that Lake Tahoe has to offer is by renting a vacation property. We all know that family vacations can be a great time, but things seem to go a bit smoother when cramped living quarters, expensive meals, and conflicting interests can be avoided.

With this in mind, what could be better than renting a home for your trip? Not only a home, but one equipped with every amenity imaginable, such as spacious bedrooms, internet access, and even a washer and dryer. A day on the mountain can provide fun for everyone, but when the less enthusiastic skiers decide to call it a day, they can go back to the cabin and fix a snack without disrupting the familys schedule. Or, the night owls can stay up and watch a DVD while the baby sleeps peacefully upstairs. With a foosball table in the basement and sleds in the garage, the kids will never complain of a dull moment.

Properties can be found in any location, including quiet neighborhoods, near a ski lift, and even right on the water. Larger groups might like to be where the action is, perhaps near a marina or within walking distance of a playground, but couples seeking peace and quiet certainly have options as well. A modest chalet tucked behind a grove of pine trees or a rustic cabin on the hill could make the perfect honeymoon spot. With a coffee maker on hand and a grocery store ten minutes away, breakfast in bed might become an everyday occurrence.

Renting a large house is a great excuse for getting the extended family together, and if planned correctly, no one will be stepping on any toes. With the hot tub right on the deck and the boat tied to the dock, it wont even be necessary to do much driving. In a place where skis are the primary means of transportation, a conveniently located vacation rental makes sense.

So as you plan your Lake Tahoe activities, ice-skating and shopping in the winter or bird watching and fly-fishing in the summer, be sure to account for the fact that you wont be waiting for a restaurant table or for your family to take turns using the shower. On vacation, time is valuable, so be sure to spend it just as you please.

The possibilities are limitless in Lake Tahoe. Be sure to take advantage of all that is offered as you enjoy your upcoming vacation, and take a look at HomeAway.com for Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals.
